Case Study: Designing Accessible E-learning

How rethinking online content for seniors can lead to wellbeing

Overview

Positive aging adopts a positive view of aging as a healthy, normal part of life – and it's this mindset that is needed to continue doing the things that you love and are important to you as you grow older. Over the course of two months, I conducted many interviews with seniors in my community. Including habits, lifestyle choices, general sentiment about wellbeing and the like.

Ideation

In the convergent thinking phase, I made a chart grouping common themes together to help make connections. I discovered some initial patterns and synthesized the general idea into two potential solutions.

Phase 01: Low fidelity paper models 

Phase 02: High fidelity video content. 

Outcome

After a series of iterations, based on user feedback, a six-week course was developed using Articulate Storyline.
